Atlantic Digital, Inc., headquartered in Tampa, FL. is seeking an experienced Consulting Engineer for immediate hire to deliver superior IT monitoring solutions for enterprise and government customers in challenging environments. This position provides the opportunity to leverage and attain experience in multiple network and datacenter oriented technology areas.
Deploy, optimize, and provide training for SolarWinds IT monitoring solutions.
Evaluate and maintain knowledge of industry technologies as directed.
Achieve and maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction and trust.
Maintain a professional and positive attitude in the execution of assigned duties.
Keep leadership apprised of project status, customer concerns, and questions.
Must provide timely status reports to internal and external stakeholders as required in accordance with policy.
Assist in understanding and meeting new and evolving IT requirements.
Coordinate with third parties to resolve problems and recommend corrective measures.
Work with vendors and internal sales staff to analyze customer systems and goals in order to provide level of effort estimates and project scope recommendations.
Create and maintain systems documentation.
Obtain and maintain appropriate industry IT certifications relevant to duties.
Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Flexible work environment – home office and client site locations
Travel – 50 to 75% as needed
This position requires a Bachelors degree with 5 years of related experience or a total of 9 years of related experience. The minimum of an interim Secret level DoD Security Clearance is required.
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and three (3) years of progressive, relevant experience
Four years of additional advanced experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree
Strong understanding of basic TCP/IP and Ethernet, to include filtering and firewalling
One of the following certifications: VCP, MCSE (other professional level certs may be considered)
Experience with the following technologies: SNMP, WMI, Netflow, SMI-S, Syslog, Basic SQL
Implementation and administration experience with the SolarWinds product line
Experience instructing or consulting with customers via on-site or virtual engagement
SQL server management experience
CCNA or equivalent network experience
Government and Department of Defense experience (STIGS, JITC)
Active Department of Defense security clearance
Administration experience with specific technologies to include: Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Hyper-V, VMWare VSphere, SAN technologies, DNS, DHCP, Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, and PKI
Strong analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to understand complex processes and recommend improvements.
Ability to think and act quickly in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Easily build rapport and trust with others
Self-starter with the ability to work individually or within small teams
