Job Description	Atlantic Digital is seeking a qualified Senior Network Engineer in the Austin, TX area to provide high level support for the design, deployment and day to day management of an advanced, mobile network. The engineer is required to be versed in multiple technologies and is expected to utilize his/her knowledge to deliver solutions for communications in challenging environments. This position provides the opportunity to leverage and/or attain experience in multiple technology areas including satellite communications, virtualization, VoIP, security, routing and switching. Self starters with the ability to operate independently or as part of a team are greatly desired. Job duties to include: • Monitoring and management of network elements for multiple remote locations • Evaluating and maintaining knowledge of industry technologies • Assist in fulfilling new and evolving IT requirements • Maintain knowledge of current information assurance requirements and evaluate configurations/designs for compliance • Coordinate with third party satellite provider(s) to resolve problems and provide after action reporting • Utilize vendor pre-sales and support staff to evaluate configuration and hardware issues and to obtain pricing on new purchases • Create and maintain systems documentation using Microsoft Visio and related tools • Create weekly availability reports • Act as an escalation point for network technical support issues • Work with other IT organizations to coordinate system changes • Obtain and maintain industry IT certifications relevant to duties Desired Qualifications: • Minimum 4 - 6 years experience in the networking field • Routing and switching experience in medium sized LAN/WAN environments. • Cisco PIX/ASA configuration/management • Cisco VoIP experience • Cisco IPICS experience • Cisco wireless access point configuration/management • Working experience with Cisco VPN technologes • Experience with VMware ESXi • What's Up Gold and Solarwinds configuration/management • Experience with Satellite antenna deployment • Active DoD security clearance or the ability to obtain one • Prior armed forces experience • Good communications skills • Cisco CCxP (CCNP, CCVP, CCSP, etc.) desired • Microsoft MSCE or VMware VCP desired Relocation to this area is not available for this position.
